Initial Two-Hour Consultation  / $250

I will meet with you to review your landscape, advise you on plant identification and care, and make suggestions for changes or additions. We will spend time looking at photos of plants to determine your preferences, discuss the views from both inside and outside the house, and talk about how you use your outdoor space and how involved you want to be in maintaining it.

If you wish, we can also review your current landscape maintenance tasks to determine whether they can be reduced by changing the way you do things. You may discover that some practices with their attendant costs are unnecessary or even detrimental to the overall health of your landscape.

You will receive written recommendations and, if feasible, a preliminary plan and plant list. After our consultation, you will be able to make better choices when planning and working in your landscape.

Design / Plant Purchasing / Follow-up Consultations / $100 per hour

PLANNING – From a small garden to an entire property, my design services are flexible and affordable. I can provide formal and informal landscape plans, lists of plants, and prioritized game plans – so you can make changes in several stages over the years/seasons.

PLANT PURCHASING – If you are unsure of how to choose healthy plants or where to buy them, I will recommend sources, locate hard-to-find plants, and if necessary order your plants for you.  I will also coordinate with your chosen installer to ensure that your plants are the correct varieties and large enough to make an immediate impact, and I can make appropriate substitutions when necessary.

PLANTING/INSTALLATION – I provide each client with extensive instructional materials regarding proper planting and maintenance techniques – for your own use or as a reference when utilizing outside installers. I work with several area landscapers to implement my plans – or I can work with your own landscape professional.

All services are flexible and open-ended to meet the individual needs of each client.
